What is trim? Simply put, trim is all of the exterior
wood on your home that is not shingle or clapboard
siding. Window sills and casings, door casings,
fascia boards, rake boards, soffit boards and corner
boards are all considered trim. On some homes,
 additional trim boards such as water table and
frieze boards, as well as architectural mouldings,
are all considered trim.

Custom Fabricated Aluminum Trim
is maintenance-free
 Aluminum trim is the most common and cost
effective way to trim out your home. Aluminum
is most commonly used in fascia, rake, frieze,
corner, water table, window and door trim
applications. Our product of choice,
Alcoa Aluminum Trim Sheet  is available in
a wide array of colors, and Alcoa's Alumalure
2000® paint finish has withstood the test of time
against the most extreme elements, including UV
radiation, acid rain and corrosive salt air. Extremely
chalk, fade and corrosion resistant, your custom
fabricated Alcoa aluminum trim will hold its shape
and look like new for years to come.

Vinyl Trim Accessories that look
like real wood
There are many vinyl products available on the
market today that can be installed to keep within
 a homes original architectural style or to add detail
and character to an otherwise plain style looking
home. Some are designed to be installed in
conjunction with vinyl siding, and others can be
installed in a stand-alone, 'trim only' type of job.
For products designed to be installed with vinyl siding,

Vinyl trim products that can be installed with

Vinyl soffit panels are used when soffit trim
boards are 6"- 8" wide or larger. We love
the CertainTeed Triple 3-1/3" InvisiVent
vinyl soffit panel.  It has a deep defined look,
offers 50% more ventilation than most other vinyl
soffit panels, and the ventilation holes are invisible.
You get the unique look of a solid panel combined
with increased ventilation area of InvisiVent. This
is an exceptionally attractive product.
PVC Boards and Mouldings eliminate
rot and painting
PVC exterior trim boards and mouldings are rapidly
becoming the trim of choice for many South Shore
homeowners. These solid vinyl boards are available
in the same nominal thickness as lumber and can
be cut, milled, shaped and routed just like wood.
PVC boards will never split, rot or decay from
moisture or insects, providing you with many years
of beautiful, worry free performance. PVC boards
are produced in white but can also be painted to
match any color you prefer.
CertainTeed Restoration Millwork® cellular PVC boards are ideally suited when combined with vinyl siding, as the built-in 'J' channels eliminate seams for a fantastic finish to your home. CertainTeed has added a 16" wide board to the product line, as well as a 1-1/2" thick board for deeper pockets to accommodate siding with 1" projections.
Azek® trim are industry leaders and readily available in smooth and woodgrain finishes.
